Our Story

Being a business owner has its challenges.  Many of us find ourselves owning a business after following our passion and wanting to serve others while doing it "our way".  

Renee Moore, first a dog trainer and then an entrepreneur found herself on this similar path.  In 2016 after many years of struggling financially, emotionally, mentally, and physically she sought to find help from rebellious leaders in the business world.  Traditional business did not speak to her nor make sense; so she was looking to do things in a not so traditional way.  Several years into her journey of being a better business owner and leader she found Mike Michalowicz, an entrepreneur and author who turns traditional business upside down.  Exactly what she was looking for.  She first read Profit First in 2021 and implemented Profit First's cash management system in 2022 and it changed her life forever.  She is currently working on her Profit First Professional certification while launching True Grit Business Consulting.  

True Grit Business Consulting specializes in working with businesses within the pet care industry but also works with other types of service based businesses.  Over the years one tried and true rule is long lasting change isn't fast.  To see results that last it needs to be slow and steady while changing habits, pushing oneself outside their comfort zone, and being open to learn new things.  All ingredients that are imperative to success.
